Other Schools

There are 8 other Colorado schools  in the path of planned
CDOT highway projects that will commence within the next 2-4
years and are within 500 yards of a busy road.   Children at
these schools could potentially be put at elevated health risks if
daily vehicle traffic exceeds 50,000

Initially HB 1293 proposed relocating schools less than 500
yards from a planned road expansion project that exceeded
50,000+ vehicles per day.   CDOT prepared a fiscal note as
per the state requirements for the HB 1293 proposed
legislation.  The names and locations of these
8 other schools
was revealed from the fiscal note.

Colorado currently has 52 schools  that are within 500 yards of
a highway, which could put children at elevated health risks

road expansions are planned in the proximity of these schools.
The fiscal note did not reveal the names of these schools, just
their locations.
